Post Information centre Graduation

September 30, 2009

Hi all,

I must admit that the graduation was one hell of an event, starting with the Venue to the presentations and finally the “snacks”.
Nairobits was as usual well represented by the students (Thanks Course 2  and definitely Medialab guys), with Victor orchestrating
the presentation like his Favourite Jazz rythmn.
I would also like to thank VIA Africa for being there and for the wonderful initiatives that they are taking.
For those who missed the event…….i have attached some photos.

New Computers!

September 17, 2009

Media lab students cannot hide their joy as they work on new computers. Nairobits recently procured 30 TFT computers for training. This has improved the training room’s look, making it spacious and more comfortable. The machines are much faster than the old ones and now the students are able to work faster while using numerous heavy applications simultaneously. Its all happy faces every time you walk into the medialab class!

To warm up the guests, there were entertainments and the presentations begun. The theme of the event was “My Music Shop”. Anne Wins Anita Borg Change Agent Award!

September 16, 2009

This has been a rather fruitful year for NairoBits. We have had a myriad of significant events, not the least the recognition of our general manager for the prestigious Anita Borg Change Agent Awards for 2009. We are deeply honored and continue to be proud of Anne Ikiara, our GM. While we don’t work for recognition, it is always motivating when the work we do is recognized. From the entire team, congratulations Anne!
